Helicopters evacuate American Embassy in Kabul

The pic reminds me of the evacuation of Saigon. Very bad. The message is that America cannot stand against a determined enemy. Iran is taking notes. 

Twenty years of American backing made the Afghan forces overly dependant and crumbled as soon as it became known that the Americans were leaving them.  An entire Afghan army corps with its U.S. weapons, equipment, and vehicles surrendered in Kunduz city. 

Interesting that the same thing did not happen in Taiwan nor South Korea. 

How Brazil Solved Its Slave Issue

 

Long ago and far away in the barrio, Brazilians were called "monkeys" because many were descended from African slaves. A hundred years ago, Brazil adopted a policy of Blanqueamiento that is promoting European immigration. Today the average Brazilian could pass as White in America. The USA is also diluting its African population (see the numbers) with massive immigration of mestizos - Europe has no excess population anymore. Afro-Americans are being diluted even if it doesn't look like that because of the noise and disturbance they cause. I cannot know if this solution is a Government project, no one is talking about it.

Debating the Great Green Goddess

 

The destructive floods in the Austrian Alps provoked an ongoing debate on the goodness of the Great Green Ecological Goddess. Suddenly it became obvious that the overprotection of Mother Earth had caused severe damage to garden variety humans, to the Holy Natives. In this case, White Austrians,  The pic, from Der Spiegel, shows a grid to stop branches and miscellaneous objects carried by the flow. Apparently, they were not maintained and caused the accumulation of up water. And the flood that destroyed their picturesque Alpine village.

US- und europäische Aktien bewegen sich weiter in Rekordnähe. ETF-Anleger sehen offenbar kein Ende der Rally und greifen weiter zu. Auch Spezielleres ist beliebt, etwa Wasser- oder Blockchain-ETFs. 

In one word: Prices are high, but the investors have no Fear of Heights. Water- and bitcoin-related shares are in demand. 

As for me, I see exploding interest in drainage and flood prevention. It is an area that requires good knowledge of statistics and I have that. Potential competitors and clients live in fear of statistics and I may have a monetizable edge.

A Peruvian participant in a webinar commented that they cannot authorize the new sewage treatment plant of ICA because it is in a flood plain. I had been to Ica and it never rains there. I will write her a mail that the chances of flooding are zero, nil, nada. 

PS: The river Ica traverses the city of Ica in a narrow channel. It is fed from the rainy sierras. So it overflows every five years or so. The flooded area is about 200 meters from the riverbed. If the sewage plant is not operational, the raw sewage must be discharged directly into the river. Crazy

 

Britannia Rules the Seas

 

The Iranian clerical regime attacked the Mercer Street commercial vessel and killed a British sailor. I do not know the details but the Iranian comunicado sounds menacing, presumptuous, and Third-World level. Iran is not like that, something went wrong. The quotation is from. 

“Iran is concerned about the obvious violation that Britain did against the Iranian oil tanker in international waters. My strong advice to the British government is to pay attention to its responsibilities and duties. The security of the Persian Gulf is a red line for Iran, and we did our best to protect this waterway from the insecurities of countries like Britain.”

Why Mercer Street? there is a Monument with seven sundials and dozens of gin stores. The Beatles had their London office there and also the Monty Python Flying Circus. 

Afghan interpreters live in terror

The plight of hundreds of Afghan interpreters who have once believed they had a plum job, is becoming increasingly desperate. They are hunted by a resurgent Taliban. They are executed for “collaboration”.
