I could stop

In 1970, in Buenos Aires, I wrote down my life goals on a piece of paper and kept it in my wallet to have it always in mind. Benjamin Franklin's autobiography (Biblioteca Lincoln) inspired me. I formulated two goals: (1) family and (2) money. As an only child of penniless immigrants, I wanted a family. I had it quantified, I do not remember exactly but it was around four children. Quantifying my capital objective, I wanted to achieve a middle-class secure income. I estimated that it could be done with a capital of 100,000 dollars, which would yield about 1,000 dollars monthly income. Then it seemed like a large capital but soon I was working in Nigeria earning (and saving) 1,100 US$/month.

52 years after I have overachieved my goals. I could stop, but then what?

NVidia Breakout

Yesterday had a family dinner at Nomi's home at Harish. She is vegetarian and I am not, which is a way of saying that I did not enjoy the food. It is nice to see my family functioning so well.

The Machine is a Thief (but the Bank is Honest)

The ATM of Bank Hapoalim stole from us 1200 + 300 shekels. It announced that there was a false 100 shekel and closed, with the money inside. We had taken the same money from the same machine the day before.

P.S.: The Bank deposited in my account the money, with the original date. I had no faith in them, but they proved to be honest. Good.

The Maternal Genetic Lineages of Ashkenazic Jews

by Kevin Alan Brook

order The Maternal Genetic Lineages of Ashkenazic JewsThis book presents up-to-date information on the origins of the Ashkenazic Jewish people from central and eastern Europe based on genetic research on modern and pre-modern populations. It focuses on the 129 maternal (mtDNA) haplogroups that the author confirmed that Ashkenazim have acquired from distinct female ancestors who were indigenous to diverse lands that include Israel, Italy, Poland, Germany, North Africa, and China, revealing both their Israelite inheritance and the lasting legacy of conversions to Judaism.

Genetic connections between Ashkenazic Jews and other Jewish populations, including Turkish Jews, Moroccan Jews, Tunisian Jews, Iranian Jews, and Cochin Jews, are indicated wherever they are known.

Each maternal haplogroup originated from a distinct woman who joined the Ashkenazic community. Some of these women were Judeans, some were Slavs, a few were Berbers, and several may have been Greeks—and those weren't their only origins.

Multiple Ashkenazic maternal and paternal haplogroups most likely came from Khazar and Alan converts to Judaism in medieval Khazaria. See the evidence on pages 7, 16-17, 52, and 85-86.

Two of the maternal haplogroups discussed in this book (H2a1e1a and U5a1d2b) were discovered to exist in Ashkenazim by the author and were not in any previous work about Ashkenazim.CHAPTER 3. Non-Ashkenazic Haplogroups in Populations Related to Ashkenazim

(Moroccan Jewish, Algerian Jewish, Libyan Jewish, Tunisian Jewish, Sephardic Jewish, Romaniote Jewish, Syrian Jewish, Egyptian Jewish, Iranian Jewish, Mountain Jewish, Georgian Jewish, Iraqi Jewish, Bukharan Jewish, Yemenite Jewish, Cochin Jewish, Bene Israel Jewish, Krymchak, Crimean Karaite, Chueta, Bragança Crypto-Jewish, Belmonte Crypto-Jewish, Polish, German, Italian, Greek, Lebanese, Samaritan, ancient Israel)

In Trance

This morning I was having a deep sexual dream - just when I was alone with the girl - got a phone call. Did not answer and set the phone on silent. Yet I woke up and was in a zombie-like trance for an hour. I followed my morning routine and measured BP and it was low - 90/68 or so. I am 77 y.o. and on xeroxat - libido only a memory. I never used to dream. I must be entering a different state, maybe.

The Invention of the Jewish People

Like every other people and nation, Jews are a mix of different communities. Some communities have no genetic connection with the main tribes (Ashkenazi, Sepharadi) and are probably converts from a long-forgotten event. The Ethiopians for example have no drop of Jewish blood. In Israel, businesses where you can send a sample and they tell you who were your ancestors and if you have unknown brothers and relatives, are totally forbidden. You can send a sample to America and receive information about your American relatives. But not in Israel. I imagine that that is because this information would create severe family conflicts and even ethnic wars, as the Ashkenazi government of the fifties has been accused of arranging the secret adoption of babies of ignorant, semi-retarded, helpless Yemeni immigrants to childless sterilized European women. The intention was to make justice because the Yemenis had too many children that were unable to educate, while the adopted babies would be grown up in educated environments, like a kibbutz. The Social Service is still doing those transfers from addict parents, but it is done through a complicated bureaucratic and judicial process, like in any other Western democracy, but it is possible that during the independence war era, it was done without proper consent.

In our woke time, genetic identification is done super-carefully, except maybe in America, where they are truly honest and non-racists. Finding African ancestors can even help to be accepted into top universities and jobs. Here the idea is that we are one people, all children of Abraham, Itzhak and Yaakov, and it is useless to research further.
