Dissent in the Coalition

The governing coalition proposed a law (something related to the army) in the Knesset (Parliament) and suffered a reverse. An Arab member of the coalition Jida Rinawi Zuavi voted against the law, saying that hates the way Israel treats the Badawi nomads, and in general, that Israel exists.  The head of the Meretz party, Nitzan Horovitz, promised to discipline the rebel. It is a miracle that the coalition, containing such hostile, antiZioist elements, survived till now. Could the Soviet Union survive if Goebbels was its Defense Secretary?

Lactose Tolerance Diffusion

The gen appeared in South Arabia and Ethiopia and diffused to all Middle East, India, and South Europe. The Corded Ware people did not have it.

Jews in the Iberian Peninsula

There is a study of the Iberian peninsula genotype and surprisingly it reaches the conclusion that 20% of the paternal lines are Sepharadi Jews. Apparently, people in Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, and the Saharawi bedouins are our relatives. The Phoenicians frequented those places.

Erasing Generous Donors

The hostile, anti-Jewish fishwrap HaAretz demands in its editorial to erase the name of  Steinhardt in the Israel Museum and other public buildings. The billionaire was entered into HaAretz's black list because he bought some non-white people's objects and donated them to the Museum. HaAretz copies every American leftist craziness a year later. Since we have no slaveowners here, the fishwrap makes an effort to find something remotely reproachable and tries to demonstrate that they too are woke and progressive. They are also against the police. Yesterday the Negev Bedouins rioted against forestation projects - they are definitely against planting trees in the Negev desert. They fight to leave the desert - a desert for their goats. Not a word on the violent riot in HaAretz, only a pic of a policeman overpowering a demonstrator with a judo take and forcing him to "kiss" the asphalt. The pic illustrates the Tu Be Svat - the annual celebration of the trees in Judaism - when schools go out to the desert to plant trees.

Fulfilling Patriarch Duties

My daughter the architect is obsessed with a second, larger home in Hod Hasharon. It is prohibitively expensive, but I promised to help. I love my daughters. I'll sell some stock. The prices are very good and rising. The American inflation reached 7% p.a. so investing in real estate is a reasonable option. Anyway, I expect to die (not this year) of a heart attack and will take nothing with me. Not that I'll be going anywhere. There is no afterlife in Judaism.

Fourth Vaccination

Yesterday I got the 4th vax against the COVID-19 and I'm feeling somewhat depressed/lacking enthusiasm for starting to work. My daughter and husband bought an apartment for a monstrous amount of money, but prices in "central" Israel have increased to unheard-of levels. Higher than anywhere on this planet, and I am not exaggerating. More expensive than Manhattan Central Park. I think the last May riots in mixed towns like Acco, Ramle, Lod (pic) frightened the Jews and they will pay any price to live physically as far as possible from Arabs. The Arabs are worse in many senses than American Blacks, because they are more violent and ideologically hostile. Arabs are ready to die if that hurts Jews. Blacks are not against America, but Arabs hate the State and the Jews. Only the Orthodox save us from becoming a minority.

Are we entering a bear market?

Yahoo Finance, my favorite market commenter, says so. I am trying to understand the graph but it looks to me that NASDAQ is in a prolonged bullish movement with a lot of inertia. NASDAQ has made lots of millionaires lately and also has benefited small fish like me. I am still optimistic and buying.
