On the refugee front, I spent an entire chapter of my dissertation trying to understand why Black folks in the US don’t qualify for asylum elsewhere, and the answer is, as usual, racism.

De-Globalization

The West has learned that globalization was good in the short term but it is harming it in the long term.  Globalization, tht is the opening up of national markets, a constant drive of imperial powers since England tried to achieve free commerce with Spain's American colonies, is now reversing. It happens that China is producing better and cheaper manufactures and the West cannot compete. Just as Manchester's mechanized textile industry (pic) destroyed India's home manufacture, China has now destroyed much of America and Europe's local industries. Huawei is so advanced that threatens to destroy America's communication industry.
My impression from the latest annual meeting of the CCP is that they understand the situation and the violent rage it produces in the West. Since they do not want war, China will focus from now in developing its internal market.

De-globalization means higher prices and inflation. The only refuge is the stock market. 

America Thorn

The fact that the current wave of racial riots in the USA started in Minneapolis, the most liberal-progressive city of all, shows that liberalism causes disorder and war, and that strong authoritarian regimes keep the peace. The abandonment of the government to African politicians and the manning of the police by Africans did not neutralize the anarchistic movements, but had the opposite effect.

Minneapolis Major Jacob Frey is a young Jew who defeated its opponent thanks to the radical wave within the Democratic Party. President Trump defined him as the "weak radical Democratic major" and proposed to intervene to restore law and order. It seems to me that that the current disorder favors Trump. On the other hand, one cannot know how the mass of Americans will react.

The Democratic candidate is Joe Biden, nearing eighty, and looking rather weak and senile. The illustration does not proe anything, but it is funny. Reagan was definitely senile yet he made a great President. I better liked the America of twenty years ago. But that is only natural. 

Riots in the big cities of America

Is this good for the Democrats? Is this the end of Trump? I have no idea. There seem to be anger directed against the police, against CNN (!), and some against Trump.

Grow food on pavements to feed the poor

From The Citizen, of South Africa: "Grow food on pavements to feed the poor. That is my wish going forward: let’s start using our pristine pavements for food. Let’s stop mowing lawns in our parks and make vegetable patches."

It sounds like a proposals of President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho to solve the economic crisis. But no, it was published in a serious paper.

Rioting American Style

It appears that Minneapolis police abandoned their station, which was then taken over by the mob and burnt down. Most were not Africans. The nearby TARGET supermarket (a good name for a shop full of liquor in a riot-prone neighborhood) was sacked (see pic).

Minneapolis is burning.

Every reporter we have in 4 protest areas in Minneapolis right now all saying there are no police nor National Guard anywhere. Buildings on fire, businesses actively being looted, 4-lane I-35 South blocked with people and fire. Govorner? Mayor? Chief?

It is a fact that a Minneapolis police officer killed on cold blood in front of cameras a man begging for mercy. Sadistic. Very bad. It is understandable that the police wished the Earth would open its mouth to hide its shame and doesnt want to be filmed beating people on the streets. The bottom line is that America is becoming ungovernable because of permanent racial stress and the paralysis caused by the fear of being injust, immoral, racist.
