Lynn presents an evolutionary theory for this difference: In order to acquire females, who sexually select for status, males had to reach the top of their group’s hierarchy and attain more resources than other males, through the cognitively-challenging means of solving novel problems and creating successful alliances with other males. China vs USA

 In Nevada, conservationists and Indigenous activists are camped at the site of a proposed open-pit lithium mine as the project is challenged in court. A rare wildflower has a second mine in the state at a standstill. Maine’s mining laws, some of the strictest in the nation, will make it nearly impossible to extract lithium from a large deposit there without changes by the legislature. And the future of a lithium mine in rural North Carolina is in the hands of a seven-member county board with power over zoning. (from POLITICO).    

China is extracting from its own mines (pic) and its mines in Africa. The USA is developing mines in Chile and Argentina. 

Lithium is a strategic mineral. I don't know what to add. 

UNILEVER falling 15%

 The popular brand of Ben and Jerry Icecream, in a PC nervous breakdown, decided publicly to boycott sales in Judea and Shomron. We are, naturally, very angry because of this aggression and doing everything to make them change the policy. B&J belongs to the Unilever conglomerate, so our defense has escalated up to this very powerful international corporation. And it is suffering and getting the message. I have no idea how it is done but its shares are falling 15% at this very moment.

Dissent in the Coalition

The governing coalition proposed a law (something related to the army) in the Knesset (Parliament) and suffered a reverse. An Arab member of the coalition Jida Rinawi Zuavi voted against the law, saying that hates the way Israel treats the Badawi nomads, and in general, that Israel exists.  The head of the Meretz party, Nitzan Horovitz, promised to discipline the rebel. It is a miracle that the coalition, containing such hostile, antiZioist elements, survived till now. Could the Soviet Union survive if Goebbels was its Defense Secretary?

Erasing Generous Donors

The hostile, anti-Jewish fishwrap HaAretz demands in its editorial to erase the name of  Steinhardt in the Israel Museum and other public buildings. The billionaire was entered into HaAretz's black list because he bought some non-white people's objects and donated them to the Museum. HaAretz copies every American leftist craziness a year later. Since we have no slaveowners here, the fishwrap makes an effort to find something remotely reproachable and tries to demonstrate that they too are woke and progressive. They are also against the police. Yesterday the Negev Bedouins rioted against forestation projects - they are definitely against planting trees in the Negev desert. They fight to leave the desert - a desert for their goats. Not a word on the violent riot in HaAretz, only a pic of a policeman overpowering a demonstrator with a judo take and forcing him to "kiss" the asphalt. The pic illustrates the Tu Be Svat - the annual celebration of the trees in Judaism - when schools go out to the desert to plant trees.
