TV police series were made on that glamorous place and its blonde millionaire residents. See pic. Not these days: a famous woman - Jacqueline Avant - "was shot and killed early Wednesday by an intruder at her home in Beverly Hills. The police chief confirmed that a security guard was at the home at the time of the incident, and was unhurt. Police received a call at 2:23 a.m. Wednesday indicating that someone had been shot in the 1100 block of Maytor Place, in the Trousdale Estates area." From Variety.
