The Great American Baby Bust

I am commenting a note by Lyman Stone. He writes about the yet unnoticed baby bust in America: "The important thing to understand here is these are big changes in your friends’ lives, and they happened really fast. This is not some gradual easing into lower fertility, but a pretty speedy change." American population is changing its reproductive behavior to resemble other Western nations. He debates the absurd notion of overpopulation and untypically, he understands the implications of subreplacement and is emotional about his people dying off.

Bravo!

  1. Women never liked most men, and were only forced into marriage with them by their families or communities. Discuss.

    1. I've certainly heard claims along the line that most women's preferences are:

      1) Only wife of a good man
      2) One of 2+ wives of a good man
      3) Celibacy

      ...

      779) Marrying a loser.

As the share of men deemed undesirable increases, we save the birthrate by allowing polygamy.

I'm, like, 60% confident that it's nonsense, but whatever.

    1. The complete opposite is true. Women do not like, and are not attracted to men, they only pretend to be for social reasons.
