Beirut Self-Destroys

All the papers say that someone forgot 2700 ton ammonium nitrate (a fertilizer) in Beirut port and that it exploted spontaneously. Bullshit. No one forgets nothing, the storage costs money and someone has to be the owner and pay the rent. In 2018 Netaniyahu spoke in the United Nations' General Assembly and pointed out Site Number One - a Hizballah weapons deposit in the Beirut port, near the water. I wonder if that was what exploded, as well as the fertilizer, producing a large crater and  a fantastic mushroom.

  1. Why Hezbollah keeps 2700 tons of ammonium nitrate in a port instead of in a bunker in beqa valley, their base of operations. And why keep it all in the same place?

You underestimate human stupidity and incompetence. And there is no evidence of any Israeli involvement.

  2. That place Netanyahu is pointing at is not the place that where the explosion happened. It is more to the North of it, check in google maps.

    1. I looked carefully. Netaniyahu seems to be pointing to the warehouse area South of the Silos, where the explosion took place. May be 50 meters South. Ammonium nitrate is a common fertilizer, it is not explosive in itself, it needs some oil or other fuel to burn. It is the main material for home made bombs and rockets. You cannot buy it here without a permit. Anyway, I am surprised you know exactly the sites of Hizballah weapons depots in Beirut. BTW, grain silos can explode too. If they were full of grain, there will be no bread next week in Lebanon. Pity/
