God exists (and is Jewish)

Otherwise, the universe cannot be explained. At least I cannot, and no one else can. Not that it makes any difference in day-to-day living.

  1. True every word except the day-to-day sentence. He will not force you to have a relationship with him but you can, and he wants that.

    1. It seem logical what you say. Why should anyone create an universe? The Sages explain: He wants us the Jews to be his holy people. Does God enjoy my keeping the mitzvot? It seems farfetched.

    2. Good fathers seek to give their children abundant life. Following his mitzvot gives us a better life even though it may not give us what most people see as the "good life".

    3. So the universe is all about God's vicarious fatherhood?

  2. It was made by him for him. For his purpose. Just like you made your children for your purpose. Not that He may have many other purposes other than just us but that's all we've been told.
