The "Second Gentleman" of America celebrated a public Passover without mentioning God - a real miracle. Once more I wonder: What kind of Jews are those people in America? In my opinion they are fake, trying to sell a made up version of them selves. It does not work, even Luther saw through the fake Jews of his time and hated them.
This is if the Sassanians don't sack Jerusalem again.

They were great before they submitted to Mohammed.
DeleteI was going to post the comment under the Ben Hur photo about Rome, not this post, sorry for confusion.
DeleteThey had a good army and social organization, challenging Rome many times in the east, and beating them, but produced no thinkers or scientists.
DeleteIt was only after conversion to Islam that their best minds contributed to human maths, science, medicine, and engineering.
Probably the best explanation is that when they were pagans they were self-absorbed, and disinterested in philosophy, but joining a world-spanning religion changed that.
Zarathistra's religion was the best. The Islam destroyed it all, so you dont know.
DeleteThe arabs defeated the Persians (while being outnumbered) at Al-Qadisiyah, at Dhi Qar, at the battle of al madhar, and the battle of the chains. That would make the arabs the superior race to the Persians?
DeleteThey did not convert the Persians but used them as a tax base, as servants, and as administrators. They didn't force them to cnvert, because back then there was no islam, the arabs were professing a religion similar to christianity, without recognizing the divinity of Christ. Conversion was not encouraged.
The conversion to Islam happened only later in Persian lands, after the fall of the Ummayads, under native iranic dynasties like the Tahirids, Samanids, and Saffarids.
As for whether the arabs destroyed native iranic literature, almost certainly they did.
But still the fact remains, and I invite you the see this for yourself.
Think about the things that actually matter in the grand scheme of things: math, science, engineering, medicine.
The Persians had no significant name contributing to any field in classical antiquity. It's only in the middle ages, that we start to see persian names.
Al-Khwarizmi, Jabir ibn Hayyan, Al-Razi, Al-Farghani. All these guys were from Iran. But they have arabic names and were integrated into the Islamic empire.
So I have a question for you. Why the Persians don't have any significant names before Islam? Similarly, why the Germanic people's don't have any significant names in science before converting to Christianity.
Similarly, what about African peoples? Those who were fully colonized and rubbed shoulders with the British, French, and Italians, hold all the power in Africa today.
I think this is a difficult question, but you have a one-dimensional mind it seems.
Why the Persians don't have any significant names before Islam? Similarly, why the Germanic people's don't have any significant names in science before converting to Christianity.
DeletePeoples evolve and change.
