We are in War

We seem to be in an air war in Syria. They fired one missile forcing the closure the only ski facility in Israel. We reacted out of proportion and killed 12 soldiers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard  stationed at Damascus Airport, and a bunch of Syrian soldiers. It is interesting that the recently received S-300 Russian antiair batteries were silent, only Soviet made AA fired. Probably the Russians do not allow the brutish fingers of the Syrians to touch these powerful equipment, to avoid accidents like the last month's felling of a passing Russian carrier.  The confrontation now is between Russian technology versus Israeli/Western technology .

  1. The Iranians may soon remove the restrictions from those S-300s and start using them without Russian permission.

As Turkey moves away from US, it will co-operate with Iran and Russia.
Russia does not want a war between Turkey, Iran, Israel, but ultimately it won't care if such a war breaks out.

America is totally interested in defending Israel because of obvious reasons, although younger Americans are less enthusiastic about Israel than the older generation.

China will use any opportunity now to hurt America, and will teach the iranians how to operate modern anti-air systems.

As for the claim that 12 Iranians were killed, I do not believe it. I believe nothing released to the public so far. I think there are much fewer Iranians in Syria than the IDF admits. Most are probably proxy fighters, recruited from among local Shiites.

The Iranians launched a few reconnaissance drones into Golan heights, very cheap and expendable.

  2. America is the largest client of China. China will not do anything to harm its profitable relationship with its best client. The Chinese are a mercantile race, they do not think like warlike Iranians.
